Music festivals that featured live shows by top DJ artists have gone online with their stars. Music festivals planned for March, April and beyond have been postponed, while others have been cancelled. Many artists and celebrity djs have called off gigs and tours.

Whether you’re an artist or a fan, a jet-set Disc Jockey or bedroom producer, traveling around the world every week or to and from work every day, coronavirus has made all kinds of lifestyles look suddenly the same – we’re all stuck at home. So, how are these top DJ artists spending their time? Some are live streaming, some are producing music, other recording and some going back to the radio.

Many Celebrity DJs have had to go on instagram everyday, just to get the attention of their fans. Top DJ artists, who had shows with bigger groups and hip-hop rappers, have been called off because of the virus that is airborne. Since disc jockeys are always surrounded by crowds and are supposed to be travelling a lot for their gigs, it can be a serious trouble if one of your favorite celebrity DJs fall prey to this virus.

The dance music scene especially has been in serious trouble and I feel it’s definitely worth fighting for. Whenever coronavirus finally passes, we will return to a different world much different from the one we left behind. It’s just not possible to say what that world will look like, maybe a grey scene on the horizon, but we need to keep on moving forward slowly and steadily with passion and love for music in our heart.

So when everything around the world has come to a standstill, what should a music lover do? Spending time in isolation can be a great opportunity to listen to some good music in a more focused and attentive way. If you are someone who loves music and are in quarantine, isolation, working from home, or just observing social distancing perhaps this is an opportunity to listen to quality music and hear it differently, it’s time to cultivate the art of listening.
